Pet Beach packing list
If your dog is your best friend, sure want to take your dog with you to the beach so first check if the beach you are going to is a pet friendly one. Second to have a great time with your best friend make sure you pack the necessary stuff for your pet to make your vacation happier and easier for both of you. Here is the pet beach packing list you may need.
1. dog sunscreen :
sun protection is not for human only but dogs too as the sun radiation can be harmful for your dog too, so be sure to include dog sunscreen to protect your best friend from these harmful radiations . Use it on the nose, snouts, ears and all the unprotected areas. and be sure to reapply it 3 or 4 times during the day on the beach to give your dog the best sun protection.consider providing your dog some shade as ultraviolet rays hurt pets as much as it hurts you2. Bowl:
it works as your dog water and food dish, make sure it is always full of water as the salty water plus the sun on the beach can cause dehydration to your dog as well.3. balls :
playing on the beach with your doggie is great4. leash :
some beach insist your dog stays on a leash .remember to have a long one to give him more space to move and have fun , make sure your dog is wearing a collar with tags all the time as it is his identity and your contact information on it in case anything happened.5. Treats:
for sure you will need it not just on the beach but everywhere else.6. Pooper scooper and baggies:
it works in a great way on the beach as it grabs and picks up the poop easily. Remember to keep the beach clean.7. Life jacket:
it is essential to give yourself relief and give your pet safe in water or on boat as well. But be sure to pick one that- Light weight one not bulky.
- when buying if the size of your dog is near the limits between two sizes . Go for the larger size
- Have the right size so it doesn't ride up on him/her.
- Pick the one that can give him/her total freedom to move, jump and get around easily.
- make sure it has handle on top to make it super handy for picking up and setting him/her somewhere else and also make it easy handling him/her
8. Pet first aid kit :
We all hate accidents but it happens . So we must be ready for it till we get to the nearest veterinarian .Based on recommendation from American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA ) make sure you have these stuff in your pet first aid kit:
- Absorbent gauze pads
- Non stick bandages don't use the human's one for pet
- Adhesive tape to hold the bandages
- Gauze roll
- Scissors
- Cotton balls
- Disposable gloves
- Antiseptic wipes
- Digital thermometer (your pet’s temperature should not rise above 103°F or fall below 100°F)
- Milk of magnesia To absorb poison Always contact your veterinarian or local poison control center before inducing vomiting or treating an animal for poison
- Eye dropper (or large syringe without needle) To give oral treatments or flush wounds
