It is the summer and here is the beach we all we spend the whole day on the beach relaxing, playing, swimming or reading a book but we have to consider protecting our skin from the sun rays here comes

1. Consider the color of your beach hat as dark colors absorb rays and light color reflect these rays and that makes you feel cooler if you wear a light color beach hat.
2.  Brim width is important to consider for the wide brim beach hat as the wider the hat is the more sun protection you will have so consider brim width equal to greater than 4 inches
3. Sun protection you want to have as if you want to have max sun protection you have to use UV hat with UPF equal to or greater than 50 which gives you protection from 98% of the sun rays UVA and UVB
4. Hat material: the material of the beach hat you pick up can bring you breathability and ventilation. the best material to pick up is raw material like straw hats and hemp hats. You have to consider cleaning it by hand also there are cotton and nylon which are easier in cleaning as you can wash it in the cleaning machine.
5. Vertical hats and angle hat: the vertical hat give protection when the sun is straight over your head but when it goes to either horizon the rays can hit your face and your neck so consider a nice angle beach hat for more hours of sun protection you will have. 
6. Consider packable beach hat: but be careful some hates need to be packed flat in order not to have a cease of it and some other fabrics can be packed by rolling it up in a ball and when you take it out it just pops right back and ready to wear
7. Chin Strap: Adjustable for a snug fit, or use the beach hat with adjustable tape built inside  so your hat won't blow off when it gets windy
